How can I adjust the height of the handlebars of a bike?
I've been looking everywhere online but can not find anything that worked yet. There is a long hex bolt in the stem on the bike, so unscrew the bars, but still not moving. I tried some WD-40 to lubricate and still will not move. What am I doing wrong? I unscrew the bolt of bad? Help this is driving me crazy!
ok if very long, as 6 inch (or more), then you're doing the right thing, but it is probably rusted in place. in this case, need to re-thread the hex long until c is about half inch from the top or mother. necessary at this point is hit with a hammer until it comes loose because the pen down inside could be just stuck in really tight. After doing this, since the front wheel between your legs and back and forth twisting motion pull it. If the screw is hexagonal as short as 1-2 inches and you can see a star nut about an inch from the top of the tube, then it can adjust the height too
