Although the ETF are the traditional parties, the innovations continue. Here is a review of some creative new ETFs have been launched or will soon reach market.

First Trust Advisors now has eight ETF available to investors. First Trust NASDAQ-100 Equal Weighted ETF (QQEWI) weight each of the 100 nonfinancial companies in the index of equality and then balances on a quarterly basis. This avoids the problem QQQQ market-cap weighted where the ten largest companies in the account index for 40% of total value. Another good option not receiving the attention it deserves Fidelity ETF (ONEQ), which tracks the Nasdaq composite index of 3,000 companies. It's too capitalization weighted balance, but a little better, and ten companies accounted for 29% of the value of basketball.

First Trust IPOX-100 of the ETF (FPX) is a basket that includes the 100 largest, most liquid initial public offering (an "IPO") in the composite index of U.S. IPOX. ETFs base currency for the cash price compared to U.S. $ and each strategy is to return to the location of price, plus interest, less costs of trust. May these new products available to investors in a week and trade under the banner follows: Dollar British Pound (FXB), Canada (FXC) Mexican Peso (FXM), Australian Dollar (FXA), Swiss franc (FXF) and the Swedish krona (FXS).

The largest family of ETFs, iShares, not resting on its laurels, but continues with new ETFs. Its ten iShares Dow Jones U.S. Sub ETF, launched on May 1, gives investors the opportunity to cut the media markets into thin strips. Examples include the passage of iShares (IAI), iShares Insurance (IAK), the team iShares Oil & Services (IEO), the iShares Aerospace & Defense (ITA) and iShares regional banks (IAT). All are market capitalization weighted expense ratios of 0.48%. Regional Banks iShares has a decent rate of return of 3.21%.

Some of these new indices Theme ETFs have been quite successful in the past three years to March this year. The exploration of the production petroleum, the index increased by 49%, the Aerospace and Defense sector, rose 38.3% and the growth rate of investment services 49.7%.

But if you think you prefer the equal weighted ETF and ETF in the sector and want industrial exposure, State Street Global Advisors has exactly what you need with the launch of six new ETF Thursday. Based on S & P Total Market Select Industry indices are
(EMX) Metals and Mining (EXR) Retail (XPH) Pharma (XES) Oil & Gas Equipment & Services (XOP) Oil and Gas Exploration and Production, and (KRE) Regional banks what is a weighted basket of 50 shares of U.S. regional banks.

iShares also recently introduced its iPath Dow Jones-AIG Commodity Index Total Return Exchange Traded Notes. It is a mouthful, but essentially this ETF are not secured debt securities issued by Barclays Bank PLC, which are linked index total return.

The iShares commodity ETF (DJP) has a fiscal cost of 0.75% and Exposition provides the following product groups: 30% of energy, livestock 9%, metals 9%, 21% industrial metals and agriculture 31%. On the basis of monthly returns from March 1991 to March this year the index only had a correlation between 9% and the S & P 500 Index and 23% for the MSCI EAFE. The index currently consists of the price of 19 Exchange Traded Contracts futures.

Chartwell members appear to be looking for more international products and country for a few more details emerging and international fixed income ETFs. I work in an equal weighting index EAFE ETF can be found easily. The market capitalization weighted iShares EAFE (EFA) has allocated 49% in Japan and the United Kingdom and my numbers show that an equally weighted EAFE index has surpassed the market capitalization weighted by a substantial margin of more than three, five to ten years.
