Racing Bmx

This month I want to mention the importance of warming. There seems to be a lack of understanding of that warming is the burning of energy, or "burning party" as they say in cycling. The truth of the matter is that a warming of routine, not only to get the body in a ready mode for optimum performance but also your mind ready for the task at hand. The best results in training and racing results from several components and a good warm up is easily the number one limiting factor training and the great race performance.
I was fortunate to spend time observing and talking with athletes of Olympic caliber track and field while they were warming up for training in the training center in Chula Vista. Although the actual exercise was only going to be 6.8 sprints, was heated for 30 minutes and this was for less than 2 minutes of the total explosive work. The truth is that you want to be able to do the actual training in full physiological and psychological capacity. When I have my athletes do sprints, the objective is to schedule the physiological component to the psychological component so that several important things occur:
 • Neurological the mind is saying to motor units of a muscle group to the fire, the mind has to tell the motor units clearly what to do without hesitation. Imagine two lines phone connected and open to communicate. The mind must be prepared and without distraction to get the message. An intense heat with an appropriate concentration mental and vision of what you do will help facilitate this.
 • For the body to respond to the mental demand of movement, This neural pathway is being activated to make the right moves and fully operational. It's crucial motor units and muscles need to be activated before the intense effort expected. Other words, if the muscles are cold, not only be a delay, there is a possibility that the muscles do not respond to the contraction complete.
 • For BMX racing, a good warm up will also facilitate faster lactate acid and recycled with greater efficiency. If there is warming, the body does not tolerate too kindly lactate. Be sure to do a long sprint to get the burn out of the way and open this component of the system too. (Do this before practice, before the first bike!)
When I was a young pro warming up 20 minutes in the woods say the NBL National Park South one hour before my practice, my teammates used to look at me as if I were a monster. The memory and most professionals through practice and in heat, however, never seemed to be ready for first bike and therefore would never go for the rest of the day. A good warm sets the tone for the day of racing!
A good warm up will prevent an athlete from being neurologically confused when mounting a new track, because they can not adapt to the new dynamics of a proper track, which second guess if they feel good about themselves riding this track. This could mess with the confidence of athletes, spend more time being uncertain before the first moto, when they have to use this energy to be prepared for whatever comes when the door.
Warm routines vary for different demands, both within and outside the bicycle races or training. It is best to develop a well-rounded training routine sprint and then apply the routine practice before an event and / or even before practice at a nightclub. There are 2 different types of energy systems that need to heat: aerobic and anaerobic. Almost always an anaerobic "dynamic warm-up" is and intensities. The duration can be at least 10 minutes 20 minutes of rush and maybe some mountain bunnyhops and manuals. Of course, this would be done with plenty of rest between efforts and not Sprint for 20 minutes so consistent. Once done, then the training and practice or item will come. Again, you want to get on the track ready for the demands so that you can schedule himself to learn the track as best you can!
Outside the training cycle, such as gym work or plyometric training can generally be benefit from a dynamic warm-up consisting of a combination of these exercises or racing bikes. Exercises can be to make the body not only neural adaptation to achieve, but to gain range of motion so no surprises when you bend over or make a jump plyo. The same principle applies in terms of neural activation: Go to the mind and body to respond cohesively so you can get the most out of exercise and training. A typical dynamic exercises consist of warming like jumping rope, is released, body squats, and not light static stretching. A quick note on the stretch: Forcing a muscle that extends beyond what he can in the time and / or holding more than 20 seconds, can also cause damage in the form of micro tears. The end result is a slight paralysis of the muscles contracting in full capacity due to slightly torn muscle fibers just do not respond, undamaged. So spread it lightly if necessary to stretch before activity.
Well there you have it, warming and specifically to a dynamic for BMX racing and training will allow you to be ready and to get the most out of your session!
