Can I use the SRAM chain for replacing Shimano Deore failures?
I have a SRAM PC-850 chain to replace a chain Shimano IG 8 speed Shimano Deore LX front / rear Derailers.
Yes, there is no problem with doing this. When looking for things like chains and gears simply make sure they match, ie 8SP not use a string to a 9 or 10 speed cassettes. You can also use a SRAM rear cassette instead of Shimano. When it comes to Shifters and derailleurs becomes a bit more complicated.
