Singapore – Can bicycle cycle in express road?

Singapore Road – I have cycle and came to express road and the traffic police told me that i can’t cycle in this road.
How to cycle from Admiralty road to Bedok – Chai Chee road? What is the shortcut to cycle to there? How long does duration to reach Bedok – Chai Chee road?

With a GPS, the route would be something along these major roads but are not expressways. About 30 kms.

2 Turn right onto Woodlands Ave 8 2.2 km
3. Turn right onto Sembawang Rd 3.9 km
4. Turn left onto Yishun Avenue 1 2.5 km
5.Turn right onto Yishun Ave 2839 m
6.Turn left onto Ang Mo Kio Ave 4.1 km
7.Keep left onto Ang Mo Kio Ave 12.6 km
