A Bicycle Road Racer begginner look dumb riding an old Ten Speed?

I am a teenager and you start in the sport of road biking Racing but I'll use a speed exceeding ten before you buy a bike very well, to make sure I like the sport. So hopefully fool if I went to a race with the ancient practice of ten velocity?

In one of my first XC race I thought I was the cream of the crop .... little did I know. I quickly left in the back of the package and not just wasn't my bike very well maintained and halfway through I was sent packing on foot, with my broken spirit and a broken arm the crank and rear derailleur with broken spokes / wheel. I then had the equivalent of what you have now only a bicycle Mtn. My second race was a little better. I was able to finish but near the back of the pack with a better bike, but still not up with the ending near the front. I began to ask 5 W and learned more than I thought I knew and my third race and the third and final bike was almost better prepared with a finish in 9th place (even my surprise) a total of approximately 50 participants. My career is my room Shining Star and more than 60 participants was a force with a 3rd place thereafter, and right to finish ahead of almost all with some problems in the acents but a good overall understanding of my strengths and areas that were lacking in the bike can make or break, but the determination and willingness to learn from others is good advice to follow through and is as important as the bike comes to the line of output. The first motorcycle was a joke, thinking back, was a K-Mart ..... NEXT LOL. I see no difference between where you are now and where I started except the kind of book we're doing. I still do not have cared what they thought of me or my bike and they were very worried about me and what I needed and the time or do not want and some doubted that I would finish (they were right), but I was determined from day one. I have never finished with a 1st place win in 30 races, but I # 2 a few years ago and now do nothing. Reading your question reminds me of that time more than 21 years and returns it as clear ..... go give it hell and take my advice and Thiers. Flack You can get some, but to help in the long run!
